This site is operated by Gwinva Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16854456). For the purposes of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, Gwinva Ltd is the data controller for any personal data processed through this site.

Quiz Responses

When you take our quiz, we temporarily store your answers to generate personalised recommendations. This data:

• Is stored locally on your device (localStorage)
• Is not transmitted to our servers
• Expires after 24 hours
• Can be cleared by you at any time via your browser settings

Analytics Data

We use GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly analytics service, to understand how visitors use our site. This helps us improve the site experience. GoatCounter:

• Does not use cookies
• Does not collect personal data
• Does not track you across websites
• Is fully GDPR compliant without requiring consent

Email Addresses (Future)

We do not currently collect email addresses. If we add a newsletter in the future:

Amazon

When you click an affiliate link, Amazon may track that you came from our site. See Amazon's privacy policy.

We do NOT:

• Sell your data
• Share personal information with advertisers
• Track you across unrelated websites
• Use data for purposes beyond those stated above

Your Rights

Under UK and EU data protection law you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing. In practice, because we do not collect or store personal information on our servers, there is usually no personal data for us to act on — but you can exercise any of these rights by contacting us at hello@gwinva.com.

Access & Deletion

Since we do not collect or store personal information on our servers, there is no data to access or delete. Your quiz answers are stored locally on your device and can be cleared via your browser settings at any time.

Right to Complain

If you are in the UK and believe we have not handled your data properly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. If you are in the EU, you may complain to your local data protection authority.

Automated Decision-Making

We do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. The quiz simply matches your answers to recommendations on your own device.

Local Storage

We use your browser's local storage (not cookies) for one purpose:

• Functional: Storing your quiz responses temporarily in your browser

We do not use cookies for analytics. GoatCounter tracks visits without cookies. You can clear local storage through your browser settings at any time.

International Data Transfers

Some of the services we rely on operate outside the UK and EU. Our hosting provider (Vercel) and the Amazon US affiliate programme are based in the United States. Where anonymous analytics or affiliate click data is processed in the US, that transfer relies on the providers' own safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework). GoatCounter, our analytics provider, is based in the EU.

Children's Privacy

This site is intended for adults purchasing motorcycle gear and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of our site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
